Protecting your privacy at the Ontario Cannabis Store

The Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation, doing business as the Ontario Cannabis Store (“OCS”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers, in accordance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).

We only collect personal information that is necessary for each transaction. Information about your purchase may be shared with researchers in order to fulfil OCS’s social responsibility mandate. All information will be kept for only the minimum length of time required by law and then deleted as soon as possible. Visitors to the site will not be required to create an online account or profile in order to purchase products.

When we ship orders, we deliver in discreet, plain packaging, so the nature of your purchase is not revealed.

Freedom of Information

In Ontario, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) gives people the right to access information in the control and custody of the government and other public institutions. You can request access to your own personal information or to general information.

If you want to make a Freedom of Information (FOI) access request under the Act, you need to submit a request in writing along with an initial $5 application fee.

Research Data Request
