The Ontario Cannabis Store, or the OCS, provides safe, responsible access to recreational cannabis for adults age 19 and older. We are both an online retailer, delivering to consumers in every corner of Ontario through OCS.ca, and Ontario’s sole wholesaler of legal recreational cannabis to more than 1,600 Authorized Cannabis Stores across the province. Our role is to provide access to tested products and reliable information to enable adults in Ontario to make informed choices about cannabis. We aim to separate myths from facts when it comes to the responsible use and effects of cannabis.

Our mandate: We only sell to adults

A key mandate for legalizing the purchase of cannabis in Canada is to provide access to products for adults only. This includes protecting youth from exposure to cannabis.

The federal Cannabis Act sets the legal age of cannabis possession in Canada at 18 but gives provinces and territories the authority to raise the legal age. In Ontario, it’s 19 years or older, which is in line with the legal age for alcohol purchase and consumption.

Our online store, OCS.ca, is intended for adults 19 and older, and we ask every site visitor to verify their age before being permitted entry to the site. We work with our delivery partners to ensure no cannabis products are delivered to anyone under 19 years of age.

what’s in your cannabis

All products sold by the OCS and Authorized Cannabis Stores have been tested for harmful substances by Health Canada–approved and designated third-party laboratories. When shopping at OCS.ca, you’ll find THC and CBD content and terpene profiles, ingredients and other important information that will help you select the right products for you.

The OCS only stocks cannabis products from producers licensed by Health Canada, which maintains strict guidelines for the production and regulation of cannabis products. The federal government offers more detailed information on federal regulations for licensed cannabis producers and Health Canada’s rules for testing.

These are some of the precautions we take in buying and selling our products.

• Our suppliers are federally licensed
  All cannabis products sold at OCS.ca are purchased from producers licensed by Health Canada. Licensed Producers must abide by federal regulations related to their facilities, production practices, pest control, recall systems and more. Health Canada regularly visits Producers to ensure these strict regulations are being followed, including reviewing Certificates of Analysis to ensure all cannabis products are third-party tested and verified for consumers.
• Our product information is comprehensive
  Product pages on our site clearly indicate the THC and CBD content, and many other details, including terpenes, plant types, specific extraction and growing processes, and growing region — all provided by the Licensed Producer. Easy-to-use search filters on OCS.ca allow you to search for products based on your preferences.
• Our assortment of products is carefully selected
  We offer a wide selection of cannabis products to meet consumer preferences, including dried flower, cannabis seeds, cannabis oil, concentrates, extracts, edibles, beverages and topicals. New and innovative products are added frequently.
• Our products are safely packaged
  All cannabis products carried by the OCS are packaged in child-resistant, tamper-evident containers and are received directly from Licensed Producers. In accordance with federal law, every product is clearly labelled with cannabinoid profiles, potency information and health warnings.
