Ontario Cannabis Store Secures Additional Supply With Two New Agreements
June 7, 2019 (TORONTO) – Today the Ontario Cannabis Store, the province’s sole legal online retailer and wholesaler for recreational cannabis, announced that it has entered into supply agreements with two additional Health Canada-licensed producers. The OCS now has agreements with 39 cannabis producers and 21 accessories suppliers.
“These additional supply agreements exemplify our commitment to securing sufficient supply for Canada’s most populated province in light of the national supply shortage” said Patrick Ford, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Cannabis Store. “We will continue to work with both large and small Health Canada-licensed producers to secure all available market-ready cannabis.”
The OCS is focused on providing safe and responsible access to recreational cannabis through its online retail store and operating the wholesale distribution network for legal private stores in Ontario. Since legalization, adult consumers in Ontario have spent over $115 million on legal cannabis through purchases made on OCS.ca and in authorized private retail stores.
