Store Highlight: Spiritleaf Beaches

Spiritleaf franchisee and owner Malcolm Lewis is taking a CBD-focused approach to the store’s product assortment, a decision he says is based on his customers’ preferences. “While our central cabinet prominently features a variety of CBD products, we also choose to expand our menu every month with new pre-rolls, beverages and flower,” Lewis says.

His gratitude for the opportunity and his passion for cannabis is obvious. “Every individual who walks through our doors is treated as a guest in our home, not merely a customer,” he explains. “My favourite aspect of working is undoubtedly the relationships we cultivate with our amazing guests. Being part of such a vibrant and supportive community is incredibly rewarding.”

The staff of Spiritleaf Beaches makes a point to connect with the community through various events. They’ve partnered with the Fox Theatre, the oldest continuously operating cinema in Toronto, offering store visitors free movie tickets. Spiritleaf Beaches has also collaborated on projects with local establishments like Bud’s Coffee and Surf Beni, a clothing, jewellery and home decor shop.

With a big focus on education, Lewis emphasizes that his store’s budtenders prioritize customers’ individual needs to help them make well-informed decisions. “Our budtenders go beyond just offering their favourite products,” he says. “They engage in detailed discussions to identify specific needs and preferences. This personalized approach allows us to provide tailored recommendations and educated insights.”
