Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, or THCA, is the non-active form of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and it’sfound in fresh cannabis plants. The THC becomes activated through decarboxylation when cannabis is heated, dried or cured. Unlike THC, THCA is not thought to produce psychoactive effects.
